Changes in the Library: Spring 2011

Welcome back!  We hope you had an enjoyable and restful winter break.  Since you left we have made a few changes in the library.

Reference Desk Hours

Reference Librarians will be available to help you at the reference desk on the 6th floor of the library during the following hours:

Mon – Thurs  10:00 am – 9:00 pm

Friday 10:00 am – 8:00 pm

Saturday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Remember librarians are also available to help via chat during these hours.  Just send us your questions via the chat box on the library’s website.

Construction Update

The 7th floor library construction project has begun and the 7th floor remains closed to library patrons.    Thanks in advance for your patience as we take the first major step in the construction of the school’s new State Street entryway.

Temporary group study room changes (1/18-early April)

Due to the construction on 7, some library staff are temporarily occupying the group study rooms on the 8th and 9th floors.  We hope to vacate these rooms in early April. In the meantime, one more group study room was added by moving the computers out of the 10th floor computer lab and into the NW corner of the 10th floor (near the Lexis/Westlaw printers).  Westlaw and Lexis student reps will be available at carrels in that same area. We apologize for this inconvenience – there were simply no other options available.

Possible noise due to construction

Most of the noisier construction projects will be done in the very early mornings (before the library opens), but some slight overlap is always possible.  Please let the library staff know if the construction noise becomes problematic, and we will ask the contractors if adjustments can be made.
